If you run from love, you're asking for a chase...
James
Brock lived the past ten years without the woman he loves. Using his
job as head of the Federal Paranormal Unit to help others, he's done a
good job of ignoring his lack of a personal life until she returns. His
salvation. His first love.
Cynthia Vega had a very good reason
to leave the only man she loved after she'd accepted his marriage
proposal. Now she's back as his boss. And he's not willing to ignore
their chemistry or the past.
Brock is determined to claim his
mate and prove that their passion is even hotter than before. He wants
her and her explanation behind their separation. Except, some secrets
won't stay buried in the past. Brock will fight his demons to follow her
lead, but Cynthia's reluctance to explain their lost love may be the
one key to their destruction...
First off, I want to thank Milly and Jennifer for making it possible for me to have this ARC. I want to first make the statement that though I have read Milly Taiden before I am a newbie when it comes to the Federal Paranormal Unit. I would say you can read this before reading Part One and follow along well, BUT it would be better if you read the first part in this series.
The fact that I was a newbie it wasn't too hard to figure out that Brock had more going on then just a beast that he shared his body with.
I enjoyed the fact that not everyone on the team was a hard @$$ and that the male to female ratio was almost equal. Brock and Cynthia's passion is hard to ignore and so thick you can taste it. Though, I still am not 100% sure why they broke up in the first place. In order to avoid posting a spoiler I'll just assume maybe the second or third time of my reading it - things will become clear.
I liked the length of the book, not too much and not too short. I was all for the main couple and I was super satisfied with the HEA. Great job Milly!

C.A. Szarek "The Tartan MP3 Player"
Book One in the time travel, fantasy romance
series, Highland Secrets!
She
never believed in magic…
Claire
McGowan, Scotophile and historical romance novel addict, finally saves up
enough for her dream vacation to Scotland.
She never imagines she’ll get sucked back
to the seventeenth century while running on the beach—that’s what she gets for
exercising when she should be relaxing.
He knows with a harsh
certainty magic exists...
The Fae
have taken his brother—Laird of his clan. Duncan MacLeod finds a bonnie naked
and confused lass. He’s convinced Claire arrived in 1672 through the Faery
Stones—a magical portal he’s been scouring the lands for over the past six
months.
At last,
he has someone who’s been through the Faery Stones and can help him find them—and
get his brother back.
First, I’d like to thank the author and Twinsie Book Tours for allowing me to participate in this Blog Tour. In my cyber book travels I have heard of C.A.
Szarek before, but I haven't had the pleasure of experiencing her writing. When the call for blogs went out I read the synopsis
and was immediately intrigued. The title I loved and I have always had a soft spot for Scottish time
travel romances. Duncan and Claire did
not disappoint. I enjoyed how the author navigated her way around Duncan
accepting her mysterious appearance on his beach. The Fae of course. Slam the
Fae and time travel together and I am there. The chemistry between Duncan and
Claire was instant and burned straight off the pages. I literally devoured this
story and wished it had been a bit longer. There were steamy love scenes,
tension-laden missions to the Faery realm and action packed fight scenes. YES!
YES! I enjoyed this read.

Devil's Charm (Chaos Bleeds MC#1) by Sam Crescent

My rating: 5 of 5 stars
I knew once I got home from work that I was going to finish this book in one sitting if it killed me.

Was it just me or was Beyonce's Partition (starting from 2:08) the anthem to this book? Lexie and Devil were amazing. I loved that Lexie was curvy and that throughout the entire book the reader was constantly being told how sexy Lexie was (even though she didn't see it).

But she sure found that out when Devil made his interest known.

He was into her and he wanted to make sure that she understood that. She caught his eye from the getgo.

I knew I wasn't going to like Kayla at the point where she showed up and dumped her baby off on Lexie. I could appreciate her caring enough about her child to take him to her sister IF that had been her motivation. But it wasn't.
I was on the edge of my seat waiting for Devil to discover that Lexie had his son. I could've screamed the anticipation was so high.

The chemistry between Lexie and Devil is instant and uncompromising. And when they finally get between the sheets I guarantee it'll knock your socks off.

He knows what he's about. In life, in his motorcycle club and especially with women.

This was definitely a book to read over and over again. And the Chaos Bleeds MC series is definitely going to be a one click buy for me from now on.

Hammer's Fall by Laurie Roma

My rating: 5 of 5 stars
Tatted up and delicious is all you need to know.
Jared Jared Jared

LR pulled me in from the start. The way Jared described his obsession [interest] with Kalista I was team get her into bed asap Jared. The entire atmosphere of Breakers, TX seems like an amazing place to live. Not to mention every business there seems like an awesome place to hang out and scope man candy especially the Fight Hard gym. I liked the fact that the gym was a gym downstairs and a rehabilitation clinic upstairs. Serving those that served for us in the military was a nice touch.
LR also did a wonderful job laying the groundwork for future Breakers Bad Boy series i.e. introducing the reader to Jared's military friends and Kalista's female friends. I can't wait.
And those love scenes. Jared and Kali burn the pages up.
The two of them together are smoking.

The stairwell scene.

The conference room scene at the wedding. Nuff said.

Great read!

Its the return of our fav little man. Cohen!

First off, let me say thanks to the amazing Harper Sloan for allowing me to have an ARC. I am more than happy to share my Cage family ride.
So if you're not familiar with the Corps Security series, WHERE THE HELL HAVE YOU BEEN, then stop here and go

Melissa and Greg (Beast) are going strong and still having some of the hottest sex on this side of Mother Earth, pregnant belly or not. The love that this couple has for each other especially on Greg's end.

It's like Buttercup & Wesley their love is so strong. (Princess Bride reference)

Cohen is still the source of all the comic relief. But tragedy strikes and we are all forced to take a seat to the unfortunate events that occur to this family. If you've never seen a strong Alpha male love HARD then you need to read this book because Greg does it so well. The devastation, heartache and hopelessness is palpable. He...loves...his...woman [his family].

I cried, I laughed, I sighed - this book took me everywhere and I loved it. And finally, when you don't think you can take it anymore.

And the reader and the Cage family get what they want.

Until Lilly (Until #3) by Aurora Rose Reynolds

My rating: 4 of 5 stars
So I have been chomping at the bit for this release ever since I read the sneak peek at the end of Until Trevor & I'm not just saying this because she's from California. :) Now these Mayson brothers are hot in all ways, Cash especially (though I am literally dying for Nico's story).
First and foremost I am #teamLilly all day/everyday. After the initial breakup with Cash she became Queen Bee - I'll do it by myself. I don't need you. Happy face for the attitude, sad face for the situation in general.

It was like witnessing an accident or a train wreck when Cash and Lilly ran into each other at the trampoline fun house. I just could NOT look away.

And I want to go on record for saying I knew who was the cause of all of their heartache from the getgo. When it all went down I was...

Jax's mother is just not right in the head. She is coo coo for Cocoa Puffs, two cards short of a deck, oodles of noodles without the sauce - SHE CRAY CRAY. I know I wasn't the only one.

But enough with that - please let us talk about the love scenes with Lilly and Cash.

The bikini scene.

And when it comes to light all of the life troubles Lilly has been having.

But love and justice conquers all and its just one happy family.

Possessed by You (Torn #1) by Jo-Anna Walker
Synopsis:
Releasing control is relief…
I was warned about men like Brett Maclean.
He was dark and thrilling, intense and
controlling. And he captivated me from the very start. He unleashed something
inside of me like no other. His bad rep and troubled past drew me to him like
gasoline feeding a flame.
With just one taste, I felt the danger in
him, the uncontrollable power that left me breathless. The passion consumed me.
Fast and hard.
Temptation couldn't guard my heart. I
should have known a man of such raw and wild desires came with competition.
The most notable thing about Brett was how comfortable he was in his own skin. To be more specific he knew he could pretty much have anyone he wanted and his attitude supported this. I immediately wanted Evvie to bring him down a notch. Bring him down to planet Earth with the rest of us. Throughout the story there were a few things that I did NOT like and there were things that I did like. I loved the relationship Evvie had with her brothers and how protective of her they were.
As far as what I had issues with I did not like Brett at any point in this story. I didn’t like how he called Evvie lover; that itself irked the crap out of me. I despised how he seemed to always have the control whether it was in the bedroom or in everyday life. My impression of Evvie was of a young immature girl. When Brett decided he wanted to pursue her I just saw a doe (Evvie) running from a wolf (Brett). And not in a good way.
I’m happy to say that the book did get better. The love scenes were smoking hot and Brett sure knew how to maximize their pleasure. ;) I wasn’t completely on board with how easily Brett fell into Claire’s plans and Claire’s character seemed to just disappear at the end, but other than that I appreciated the HEA.
About The Author:
I'm a new self-published author who just got introduced to the writing world early 2013. My aunt suggested that I write a story because I'm an avid reader but I waved it off and left it alone. Well this year, a story came to me and I went with it. It took me a little bit but I finally got a story idea that worked and now I can't stop or control the characters/stories that keep popping up in my head. I'm born and raised in Canada and I live with my very wonderful and supportive husband, Michael. We don't have any children (yet) unless you count our cats. My hubby been my rock through this whole new experience for me. I couldn't have done it without him and my friends and family. One of the many things I love about this new chapter in my life is that I'm learning constantly. It's never a dull moment and as long as one person likes my story, I am happy. To learn more, visit Jo-Anna on her blog, on Twitter, Facebook, Goodreads and Pinterest.
Jo-Anna Walker is also author of Break Me, Always Me, and In the Heart of Forever (A Heart Story).
