Devoured (Brides of the Kindred, #11) by Evangeline Anderson

Devoured (Brides of the Kindred, #11)Devoured by Evangeline Anderson
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Another instant love. I swear this series and this author can do no wrong in my eyes. :sighs: Thank you book fairy for leading me to Evangeline Anderson.

I couldn't stop reading this until I was absolutely finished. I threw this ontop of my ever-lengthening TBR pile because the fairy was saying...

This book was delicious.

I cannot wait for the next in the series.

Misunderstood (Death Dwellers MC, #2)Misunderstood by Kathryn Kelly
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

So gritty and different. Not all glitter and unicorns in this MC world. Johnnie is something else. Man, I swear everyone in this book is fucked up in some way. Everyone was clashing. Kendall/Megs, Christopher/Johnnie, Johnnie/Val, goes on and on...

And there's no shortage of assholes in this book either.

Parts of it were hard to read. Self-hate is a mother. But I pushed thru and I did enjoy this book.
I can't wait to read Bailey/Mortician's story, but I'm not sure I'm shipping them or not.

I'm also anxious for Val and that b*tch Zoann. I'm plotting her downfall something serious.

Pia Saves the Day (Elder Races, #6.6) by Thea Harrison

Pia Saves the Day (Elder Races, #6.6)Pia Saves the Day by Thea Harrison
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

First of all for the sake of not having to post a spoiler alert.

Jeez! Thea Harrison does it again.

There are no characters that I love more than Pia and Dragos (and Peanut of course). :sighs:
I was not expecting this plot line. I just assumed some longtime enemy of Dragos was going to come out of the woodworks and Pia would save the day. BUT this was so much better

I will say Dragos, in whatever form and in any circumstance, is still Dragos. Can I get an Amen?
The love between Dragos and Pia is so amazing. I have said it before and I'll say it again I'll never get tired of reading about them.

Devil's Game (Reaper's Motorcycle Club) by Joanna Wylde

Liam “Hunter” Blake hates the Reapers MC. Born and raised a Devil’s Jack, he knows his duty. He’ll defend his club from their oldest enemies—the Reapers—using whatever weapons he can find. But why use force when the Reapers’ president has a daughter who’s alone and vulnerable? Hunter has wanted her from the minute he saw her, and now he has an excuse to take her.

Em has lived her entire life in the shadow of the Reapers. Her overprotective father, Picnic, is the club’s president. The last time she had a boyfriend, Picnic shot him. Now the men in her life are far more interested in keeping her daddy happy than showing her a good time. Then she meets a handsome stranger—a man who isn't afraid to treat her like a real woman. One who isn't afraid of her father. His name is Liam, and he’s The One.

Or so she thinks.

Liam and Em are a match made in Biker Heaven. Em was bad ass! Even though I was rooting for her and Hunter to get together I knew they both had quite a ways to grow (as a couple and as the individuals they were meant to be). Especially, the fact that Liam was used to women throwing themselves at him AND the secret of who his loyalties were to. When it came to Em, that was definitely not going to fly. As Olivia Pope would say,

I didn't really know what to expect for Liam aka Hunter. I wasn't sure if he was going to be a complete douchebag, prayed that he wasn't, or a relatively good man. Either way I knew I was all for Em, forwards and backwards. Her intelligence, her humor, her innate sensuality (V status or not) and most importantly, her loyalty.

From a previous book you know at some point Em and Sophie get stuck in a Devil's Jack safehouse being held for ransom. No matter what obstacle is put before them they make it through - together.  Its more than obvious Liam and Em were meant to be. Anyone (including Em and Liam) can TRY and get between them, but nothing ever sticks.

I truly enjoyed this book and not just because Em and Liam burned up the pages with sexual tension, but everything about this book was amazing. The tension, the love scenes, the different character interactions, the action, the angst between Em and Liam. I was literally Anna from Frozen.

Thanks to the RockStar PR team for gifting me with this ARC!

The Professional (Game Maker #1) by Kresley Cole

The Professional (Game Maker, #1)The Professional by Kresley Cole
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I've had this book sitting in my TBR for awhile, not as long as others, but I am so glad that I finally got around to reading it. I am in love with KC's IAD series and I hoped that this series was just as good. And it is! Natalie and Aleksandr almost set my poor laptop ON FIRE. These two had instant chemistry and the vor aspect locked it down. Aleksandr was dangerous, sexy, possessive, determined - and the list goes on. Natalie was perfect. She "bowed" to his demands and showed her @$$ exactly when she should. This story would make an awesome show on either HBO or Showtime. Mafia princess and enforcer, it just begs to be optioned.

Did I mention how smoking hot these two are?

The sauna

The "punishment"

This book is incendiary.

Until Nico (Until #4) by Aurora Rose Reynolds

Until Nico (Until, #4)Until Nico by Aurora Rose Reynolds
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

I am so glad she released this early and that B&N was the first to get it because thank goodness I had a Nook.

Sophie and Nico are like the perfect fit. I don't think I would've been as satisfied if Sweet Sophie was tatted up like Nico. I loved the opposites attract portion. Though, I must say there were times when she tap-danced on my damn nerves with her indecision, fear and her need to run and hide. BUT I had to tell myself to be patient. That was what Nico had, the patience of Job.
A couple times Sophie had me

But when finally things began to fall into place and Sophie stopped acting like she didn't really want Nico.

I've been known to plot a female character's downfall, but this right here....so delicious. Nico knew what he was about from day one. :sighs:

I enjoyed it almost as much as Until November and I cannot wait for more releases from this author.

Dangerous Protector (Federal Paranormal Unit #2) by Milly Taiden

If you run from love, you're asking for a chase...

James Brock lived the past ten years without the woman he loves. Using his job as head of the Federal Paranormal Unit to help others, he's done a good job of ignoring his lack of a personal life until she returns. His salvation. His first love.

Cynthia Vega had a very good reason to leave the only man she loved after she'd accepted his marriage proposal. Now she's back as his boss. And he's not willing to ignore their chemistry or the past.

Brock is determined to claim his mate and prove that their passion is even hotter than before. He wants her and her explanation behind their separation. Except, some secrets won't stay buried in the past. Brock will fight his demons to follow her lead, but Cynthia's reluctance to explain their lost love may be the one key to their destruction...

First off, I want to thank Milly and Jennifer for making it possible for me to have this ARC. I want to first make the statement that though I have read Milly Taiden before I am a newbie when it comes to the Federal Paranormal Unit. I would say you can read this before reading Part One and follow along well, BUT it would be better if you read the first part in this series.
The fact that I was a newbie it wasn't too hard to figure out that Brock had more going on then just a beast that he shared his body with.

I enjoyed the fact that not everyone on the team was a hard @$$ and that the male to female ratio was almost equal. Brock and Cynthia's passion is hard to ignore and so thick you can taste it. Though, I still am not 100% sure why they broke up in the first place. In order to avoid posting a spoiler I'll just assume maybe the second or third time of my reading it - things will become clear.

I liked the length of the book, not too much and not too short. I was all for the main couple and I was super satisfied with the HEA. Great job Milly!
